Finally, we are in Chennai. The last few days in Ithaca was just too busy packing and selling stuff that we cannot carry to India, so we slept throughout our journey. Since we arrived very early in the morning on the 28th, Logu, our uncle/aunt's driver, picked us up at the airport. He dropped us off at Amma's place and Arvind had his long awaited meal, Dosai. Today (29th), we went to Balaji mama's place for Thatha's (Amma's side) religious function (something like anniversary to honor his death) and met all Arvind's relatives on Amma's side. We had a good time, good meal and good rest. The highlight of the day was, of course, shopping! Lots of awesome stuff for such a reasonable price! I LOVE my INDIA~~! Glad you made it to India safe & sound! What a relief, after a hard-fought battle during the final few days!
The pictures tell it all: Maki excited for her new beginning, Amma with her big welcoming smile, and Arvind drooling to take a bite of the Dosai. :)

Rei introduced me to your new blog. Pretty cool. We're glad both you and Arvind made it to your new home safely. What's this Dosai Rei is referring to? Sounds really good... I might need to visit just to try it... mm..mm..mm..good.

And Rei, I found out about these spa places that are really cheap (about $15 for an hour), so we definitely have to go together! Of course, Rob, we would love to have you join us :)
